Cape Town – South African long-distance runner Louisa Leballo has been banned from sports for eight years for a doping violation and an attempt to subvert the testing process, the SA Institute for Drug-Free Sport (SAIDS) revealed on Wednesday.

THE EFFECTS ON THE SPAR GRAND PRIX RANKINGS
Leballo, who finished first in Cape Town and ninth in Port Elizabeth has been removed from the SPAR Grand Prix points standings altogether due to the failed out-of-competition dope test on 20 March, 2017 and her subsequent 8 year ban.
Due to the test being conducted prior to the start of the SPAR GRAND PRIX SERIES this affects all results from the test date.
