Frequently Asked Questions
You have collected your race number and you’re ready to go!
Here are some guidelines to help you get out on the road safely on Sunday, 30 March 2025.
Can I collect my race number on the morning of the race?
No, there is no Race Pack Collection on the morning of the race. You will not be allowed to start the race if you have not collected your race number from the official Race Pack collection points before the race.
Can I swop my race t-shirt for another size?
T-shirts will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please ensure that you indicate your correct size when you enter, as there are NO EXCHANGES.
Please wear your official SPAR T-shirt on race day, or (if you must 😊) your club colours. You are welcome to pimp your SPAR T-shirt, and let it channel your best you!
Do I need to wear my race number?
Yes, one SPAR race number will be issued for the 10km. Your timing chip will be attached. Fasten this bib to the FRONT of your shirt.
Registered club athletes need to wear both their ASA license numbers (FRONT and BACK).
Non-club members will be issued a Temporary ASA license which must be worn on the BACK of the shirt.
Only one race number will be issued for the 5km and this needs to be worn on the FRONT of your shirt.
You may not attach your race number to your running shorts, backpack, or any other part of your body.
You may not transfer your race number and/or timing chip to another runner. Any runner who is found guilty of breaking this rule will be banned from the race for one year, in addition to being disqualified from the current year. This is an important rule which is in place for the purposes of your safety!
How is my 10km race timed?
Your timing chip is attached to your race number and linked to your personal profile.
Please remember:
- Your chip is not transferable to another runner, as it is personalised for your use only.
- The timing chip is to stay on your race number. Do not attempt to remove it.
- Remember to attach your race numbers to your t-shirt before you leave for the race to prevent them from being left at home.
- No chip – no results – no exceptions.
- PLEASE do not wear any other timing chip.
- Do not cover your timing chip with clothing or straps from bags or hydration packs.
Please note: the 5km is NOT timed.
